(Buffalo, NY) – Today, 12,000 runners and walkers trotted down Delaware Avenue and participated virtually in celebration of the 127h Annual YMCA Turkey Trot. This time-honored tradition is the longest consecutively run footrace in the world.

For the second consecutive year, Liam Hilbert of Kenmore was the overall winner and fastest male, finishing the race at 24:05. The fastest female winner, Anne-Marie Blaney from Rochester Hills, Michigan, crossed the finish line at 26:46. Following the race, participants and volunteers celebrated at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center with a post-race party and award ceremony.

Proceeds from the race are used to provide financial assistance to children and families in Western New York who otherwise are unable to participate in YMCA programs and services. This year, the $1.4 million raised by the YMCA will help fund community outreach programs and provide vital services and programs aimed towards youth development and healthy living.

YMCA Buffalo Niagara thanks the community for its continued support. For a complete list of race results visit YMCATurkeyTrot.org.
